Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 July 2026

Front Porch Web is run by one person. I collect what I need to build your website, and nothing else. I do not sell your information, and I never will.

Who I am

Front Porch Web, LLC ("Front Porch Web", "I", "me") builds websites for local businesses, adoptive families, and student-athletes. If you have a question about anything on this page, email me at [email protected] and I will answer you personally.

What I collect

When you create an account

Your name and email address, so you can sign back in and I know who a project belongs to. If you sign in with Google, I receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google — never your Google password.

When you fill out the questionnaire

Whatever you choose to tell me about your project. Depending on the kind of site, that can include your business details, contact information, photographs, and the text you want on your site.

Some of this is genuinely sensitive, and I treat it that way. Adoption profiles include letters written to birth parents, photographs of your home, and details about your family. Recruiting profiles include information about a student-athlete, often a minor — their school, statistics, schedule, and contact details.

I do not share any of it with anyone. It is used only to build the website you asked for, and to show you drafts of it.

When you pay

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches my website and I never see it. I receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the name and email on the payment.

When you visit the site

My host records standard server information such as IP addresses and which pages were requested, for security and reliability. I do not use advertising trackers, and I do not build profiles of visitors.

Where your information is stored

I use a small number of well-established services to run the business. Each one holds only the part it needs.

ServiceWhat it holds
SupabaseYour account, questionnaire answers, and blog posts
CloudflareWebsite hosting and your uploaded photographs
StripePayment processing and card details (I never see these)
GoogleSign-in, if you choose that option
Web3FormsDelivers the notification email telling me you submitted

Access is restricted to me. Your questionnaire answers and photos are protected by database rules that prevent one client from reading another client's information.

What I do with it

That is the entire list. I do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. I will not put your project in my portfolio or use your photographs as an example without asking you first.

Published websites are public

The website I build for you is meant to be seen. Anything you ask me to put on it — your photos, your story, your contact details — will be publicly visible once it goes live, and search engines may index it. Please think carefully about what you include, especially on an adoption or recruiting profile. If you would rather something stay off the site, just tell me and it stays off.

Information about children

My website is not intended for children to use directly, and I do not knowingly let anyone under 13 create an account.

Some projects necessarily involve information about a minor — a student-athlete's recruiting profile, or a family's adoption profile. In those cases I only accept that information from a parent, guardian, or the athlete's own family, and I only publish what you ask me to publish. If you are a parent or guardian and want that information changed or removed, email me and I will do it promptly.

How long I keep it

I keep your project information while your site is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so I can help if you come back needing changes. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask and I will delete it.

Your choices

Email [email protected] at any time and I will:

I aim to respond within a few days. You do not need to give a reason.

Security, honestly stated

Your information is protected by database access rules, encrypted connections, and payment handling by Stripe rather than by me. No system is perfect, and I would rather say so than promise otherwise. If something ever went wrong that affected your information, I would tell you directly rather than hope you did not notice.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how I handle your information, I will email clients directly rather than quietly editing this page.
